'Be More Pirate'
Leadership Retreat.
Like the true pirates we are, we are looking for a small crew of swift and nimble ne'er-do-wells to accompany us on this journey.
Positions are strictly limited because we deeply value the connectedness and quality learning experiences that can be fostered in small group settings amongst innovative educational practitioners (we’re also pretty Covid conscious to say the least).
To ensure that we can establish a diverse crew of pirates aboard we ask that you take five minutes to complete this expression of interest form. In doing so you are committing to travel to be part of an event happening between the 23rd and the 26th of February 2022 in Kangaroo Island, South Australia.
Scholarships to assist early-career and emerging leaders are available. The purpose of these full and partial scholarships is to reduce barriers to access for those who may find the cost of registration a prohibitive factor. Interest can be indicated at the end of this form.
Covid Considerations: Why are we planning an in-person retreat given recent restrictions?
Simply put: because it's worth the risk.
The last year and a half has been enormously prohibitive on genuine and inspiring learning exchange. We work in a disparate sector that benefits from coming together and considering solutions to complex issues young people face.
We’re not entirely mad though - provisions have been put in place to both observe Australian health guidelines and reconvene at a later date if deemed necessary.
